The 19th annual Keeping Kids Warm coat drive collected 1,800 coats this year for needy children.
Lupo’s S&S Char-pit, Wendy’s Restaurants, Peoples Neighborhood Bank, Gary’s U-Pull-It, Miller Auto Team, Tioga State Bank and Healthy Life Magazine organized the drive in October and November. Events were also held at the Binghamton Senators games and at Binghamton University Basketball games.
All coats were cleaned at Resciniti Dry Cleaners and Bates Troy at no charge. From there, the coats were delivered to the United Way of Broome County, who gave them to several local charities throughout the area.
